Brown stone bracelet features banded picture jasper square tubes, and 6mm chatoyant tigereye rounds. Jasper 'square tubes' are aprox. 5/8 inches long. Jasper is the common name for a group of varied colored stones with similar properties.

Picture jasper is so called, since, when cut into slabs, it can resemble brown landscapes. To achieve this effect, a special saw is used to slice off thin slabs of the rock opposing the internal banding. The slabs are then polished to enhance the detail.

Some examples show a suprisingly similarity to landscape paintings, complete with trees, rolling hills, and mountains in the background. The beige to brown banding can be seen in the bracelet above.
