How to care for post earrings.
The back part of the post earring is design to put pressure on the post. This uses the 'springyness' of the sterling silver to hold onto the post. If you ever feel that the back part is not holding on good enough, you can pinch both sides of the earring back together a little at a time, until it 'grabs' the post better.
