| Rose quartz and amethyst are very similar in composition. Both are quartz materials. Quartz in it's purest form is a clear mineral. Inclusions of other minerals within the stone gives each gemstone it's particular color. Rose quartz beads measure 5/8 across and have a flat polished surface. The shape of the bead is called a 'flat disc', or 'coin' shape. Amethyst gemstones are aprox. 4mm in diameter. | |
