Blue and Black Crystal Bracelet

Beaded crystal bracelet is made with Swarovski crystals.

Larger blue crystals are 5mm diamond faceted shape.

Smaller 4mm crystals are coated with a special finish which sparkles in irridescent colors. (Primarily blues and greens.)

The black tube shaped beads have a matte finish. Each larger bead is separated by a silver-lined seed beed.

Claspings are sterling silver.

About Swarovski Crystals

Most commercial faceted glass beads are made using one of the two following methods:

1) Fire polished beads: Fire polished beads are machine cut to the desired shape then heated in a kiln until the surface of the bead melts slightly. This produces a smooth surface on the beads but the melting of the glass surface makes the edges of the bead slightly round.

2) Cut crystal beads: Swarovski and Czech cut crystal beads are not fire polished. Each facet, or plane of the bead is individually cut and polished by highly specialized machinery. This is the same procedure used to facet many gemstones. This creates high quality, truely faceted beads that do not have a cheapy, plastic look to them.
