Seahorses live in floating beds of seaweed.

Seahorse is the common name for the fish genus Hippocampus
There are about 35 known species, which range in size from about 5/8 inches to 1 3/8 inches. They are closely related to the larger fish known as Seadragons, (genus Phycodurus).
Seahorses are fairly unique, in that the male gets pregnant and gives birth to the young. They are also monogamous, which means they choose only one mate for life.
Our seahorse earring charms are made with a lost wax casting technique in which a mold is made of one seahorse, and the same mold used indefinitely.
