Amber Anklets

Amber is one of the few gemstones that has it's origin in an organic substance. What we know of as amber was once globs of sap oozing from prehistoric trees. Over a very long time the sap fossilizes into what is technically known as succinite.

The anklet to the left features irregularly shaped natural baltic amber nuggets about 1/2" x 5/16 inches. The color is medium to medium-dark honey brown.
